The UBTech Vernal campus welcomed a hard working group of local students and their families for a special ceremony on Tuesday. 29 students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. Cheryl Meier, USSD1 Executive Director, spoke to the group, encouraging them to stand out and serve others. “There will be doors that open for you,” she said. “Some of them will be obvious, some won’t be. Take them. Go do the things that feel a little uncomfortable…Be willing to stand out. But as you do that, stay connected…because the impact you’re going to have is not just about what you accomplish individually,” Meier continued. “It’s about what you do for the people around you.” A ceremonial candle presentation was held and the group recited the National Technical Honor Society Oath, led by UBTech President Aaron Weight. It was a positive event celebrating these high achieving students in the technical trades.
