A press release from Congressman Blake Moore shares that early Thursday morning, the House Armed Services Committee passed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022, and many of Congressman Moore’s sponsored provisions were successfully included in the passed legislation. “Since my first day in office, we have been working with Hill Air Force Base, military families, and the Utah defense community to ensure that Utah’s priorities are represented in the National Defense Authorization Act,” said Congressman Moore. “Even while in the minority, Republicans succeeded in reversing President Biden’s harmful defense spending cuts, maintaining a competitive edge over China, enhancing depot facility modernization efforts, demanding accountability on Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal, and funding additional procurement to ensure military readiness.” Congressman Moore is the sole representative for Hill Air Force Base and Utah’s defense community on the House Armed Services Committee.
