Naples City attracted community members from around the Basin with their epic fireworks show on Sunday night to ring in the New Year. With such a great response from the community, the hope is to make it an annual tradition. Naples City first took on the 24th of July by hosting a fireworks show that drummed up excitement in the community. Mayor Dean Baker approached the Naples City Council about trying out New Year’s Eve this year and plans got underway. With their success in 2017, Mayor Baker says they plan in 2018 to repeat the fireworks for the 24th of July and will discuss during the January 11th City Council meeting the possibility of hosting fireworks again on New Year’s Eve.
