Naples City has welcomed a new mayor and city council members. The swearing in ceremony for Mayor Brock Arnold and new city council members Jonathan Beede and Nathan Zilles took place on January 2nd. Naples Mayor Brock Arnold had plenty to share when asked about what’s in store for Naples City and simply put, he’s excited. “Naples has a history of making sound fiscal decisions with minimal impact to property tax and I think that will continue,” says Mayor Arnold. “My main focus for Naples is creating more unity as a city and working with council, staff, and the community to gain a vision for how to create more unity between residents, staff, and council. We have a great community and I hope to get more of them involved in city happenings and events.” Mayor Arnold points out that there are vacancies on the Planning and Zoning Commission ready for additional community members. He also says he would love to get a new commission of community members to help plan events and activities for the Naples community. “Overall,” he concludes, “I think we live in a wonderful community and I look forward to getting to know more residents and serving the people of Naples.”
