Work continues on multiple planning efforts in Daggett County. According to the Commissioner’s monthly update, the Master Trails Plan remains in process in Daggett County. The creation of the plan is funded through a Utah State Parks and PCIB grant. “There will be more to come as this process develops,” shares the Daggett County Commission. Daggett County’s involvement with the USFS Ashley Forest plan is also moving forward as well as the BLM transportation plan, shares the Commission, who also emphasizes the need to “reinvigorate the Public Lands Advisory Committee in an effort to make sure we are doing what our public wants regarding these planning efforts.” Daggett County’s monthly newsletter also includes thanks from the Commission to their volunteer force including EMTs, firefighters, and event helpers followed by an invitation to those who aren’t presently volunteering to check out the open positions and see if there is a good fit for them.
