More details have been shared regarding a full-scale emergency response exercise taking place in Uintah County. Over 30 organizations are participating, including agencies from Daggett, Uintah, and Duchesne Counties as well as the State of Utah.
Tuesday’s announcement from Uintah County Emergency Management shares that “on April 20th, from approximately 10 am to 4 pm, a full-scale emergency response exercise will take place along Highway 191 near Cart Creek, between mile markers 378 and 381.
This drill, conducted in collaboration with the Uintah School District, will include a simulated scenario involving a school bus and semi-truck…This multi-jurisdictional, multi-discipline drill will evaluate the operational capability of emergency management systems in a simulated high-stress environment.”
Please note and spread the word that this is just a simulation and no one will be injured. All are asked to please avoid the area if at all possible and if traveling on Highway 191 that day to please exercise caution.
