The water flowing from the East Fork burn scar looked like a massive muddy river on Sunday after the heavy rain. The East Fork Fire started nearly a year ago on August 21st about 13 miles north of Hanna near the Upper Stillwater Reservoir in Duchesne County. The fire burned for months and came far too close for comfort to the Moon Lake Campground. Sadly, the Moon Lake Campground has now been affected by heavy flooding and mudslides over the weekend due to the East Fork burn scar being immediately uphill. It is now closed until further notice and non-essential travel is not advised. Videos of the flooding can be viewed on the Ashley National Forest Facebook page.
