The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office chose the festivities last week to reveal an exciting new aspect to their crime fighting team. The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol Unit marched in the 4th of July Parade enjoyed by many in western Colorado. The parade was the first public event for the team. The group recently returned from training and certification that lasted for two weeks. Kids and adults alike enjoyed seeing the mounted officers as well as the handsome horses that are the newest members of the Moffat County Sheriff’s team.
