The body of a fisherman missing since January was recovered on Tuesday at Flaming Gorge. According to the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office, two fishermen were in the Mustang Ridge area when they saw what appeared to be a floating body near the shoreline on Tuesday at approximately3:20pm. Duchesne County Sheriff’s Captain Chris Collett responded to the call and identified the body as 59-year-old Phil Sabey, who had been missing since January 20th when his vehicle was found at the Cedar Springs boat ramp. It was believed that Sabey had fallen into the lake and drowned somehow due to an incident while unloading his boat. The search for Sabey was extensive and included multiple agencies but had to be temporarily suspended due to winter conditions. The body recovered Tuesday was transported to the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination.
