A Vernal man has new charges after drugs were located during a parole compliance check of his home this week. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, it was learned that Billy Pierce may have had methamphetamine in his residence and, as he was on supervised probation with Utah AP&P, a compliance check was performed. During the compliance check at his residence, a plastic tub was found sitting on a dresser containing 2 glass pipes with substance consistent with methamphetamine as well as a plastic baggie containing methamphetamine residue. Billy was at the hospital related to a separate case being handled by police and action was not immediately taken but when Billy left the hospital when he wasn’t supposed to, he was located and placed under arrest for the new drug offenses.
