A well known and respected community member passed away unexpectedly this week from a health condition and the community is invited to a memorial in his honor this Friday at the Uintah Conference Center. A memorial for Vernal Police Department Cpl. Troy Davis will be displayed from Friday, July 16th at noon until the afternoon of July 17th. Cpl. Davis’ patrol car will be there on display and anyone is welcome to come leave a kind note, memento or condolences for his family. “Throughout his many years of service to the Vernal Police Department and this community, Cpl. Troy Davis touched many lives,” shares Vernal PD. “He loved the students that he taught and protected throughout his years as a DARE and NOVA instructor and a school resource officer.
