An opportunity has arrived to explore funding and new opportunities to enhance real-time water monitoring in Utah’s Upper Colorado River Basin. The Upper Colorado River Commission and the Colorado River Authority of Utah, with support from Jones & DeMille Engineering, are holding local meetings about the Utah Diversion Measurement and Telemetry (UDMT) Program. “This federally funded initiative is designed to enhance real-time water monitoring infrastructure across Utah’s Upper Colorado River Basin by installing measurement and telemetry devices on diversion structures,” shares the announcement. “The program will support improved water data accuracy, transparency, and management throughout the region.” The first meeting is happening tonight at the JDE Office in Roosevelt at 6pm. A meeting will be held tomorrow, November 12th, in Manila at the Daggett County Courthouse at 6pm. The Vernal meeting is scheduled for November 18th at Vernal City Hall at 6pm.
