You’ll find two candidates on your ballot running for Roosevelt City Mayor. Tommy Kent Olsen has lived in the Roosevelt area his entire life and is known in the community for his time coaching, refereeing, and volunteering, including the last 12 years as a board member within the local electrical cooperative. When asked about his vision for the City during last week’s Meet The Candidate event held at the Crossroads Center, Olsen said, “One of the things I would like to start with is creating opportunities for our youth” and he mentioned the possibility of a new park in the Centennial area and additional youth activities. He also emphasized keeping traditions like UBIC going and adding more sport tournaments to bring revenue to town. Supporting business growth and downtown revitalization are also priorities for Olsen. Early voting is happening in Roosevelt City from October 28th through the 31st during the morning business hours.
