The Meet the Candidate Radio Forum kicked off for Uintah County School Board candidates last week. Three of the five Uintah School Board seats are open this election and the radio forum is aimed at providing voters a clearer understanding on each candidate’s position on issues facing local education. Dickson has been working with the students of Uintah School District for 28 years as a teacher, school administrator, district administrator, athletic director, theatre arts director, and coach. He believes school boards need transparency, that students and their safety are always top priority, and, among other things, that education is not complete without an appreciation of the Arts. Kevin Dickson is the current Uintah School Board President. Dave Chivers is also running for the District 2 seat. District 2 voting precincts include Vernal City and Ashley East and West.
