Getting in the Christmas spirit is easy this year. All it takes is a trip to the Museum of Uintah County, formerly the Heritage Museum, to witness a record breaking holiday display. “A very large Christmas village collection was acquired by Charitable Friends of Ashley Valley to present in Vernal,” shares Quinn Bennion. “The collection is among the largest in Utah. The villages, trains and features were obtained from a village enthusiast after 40 years of collecting.” Recognition is due to Shar and Rhett Searle for organizing and setting up the display and once you see it, you’ll understand why their donation of time is a huge deal! The Christmas villages are presented in the art display area of the Museum of Uintah County. There is no admission price but donations are encouraged and the proceeds will benefit the local charity: Reach Out and Connect. The holiday exhibit will be on display through December 23rd during regular museum hours.
