Manhunt for Duchesne County Murder Suspect Ends In Colorado

A Duchesne County man at large for two days for murder and kidnapping was captured in Colorado

. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old James Main, Jr. allegedly abducted two individuals at gunpoint from a home north of Roosevelt

. Main forced them into a vehicle and had them take him to a Roosevelt residence where a struggle ensued and Main fired a shot and then took the vehicle and ran. No one was killed in that altercation. As the investigation and hunt got underway, the body of Main’s 56-year-old father was discovered at a home in west Duchesne County which is being treated as a homicide investigation with Main as the main suspect. Main was considered at large and dangerous during the two day manhunt that included two high speed chases before Main was caught. He is now being held in Grand Junction.

, Duchesne County Sheriff’s investigators were in Colorado interviewing Main. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information concerning this case is asked to call 738-2015.
