The use of counterfeit money is of course a crime and unfortunately there are fake bills being used around the community. One such example occurred in Roosevelt last week at the Crumbo’s gas station. A 19-year-old man entered the gas station, waited for the clerk, and removed a single bill from his wallet. He looked at both sides of the bill and then handed it to the clerk in exchange for five 20 dollar bills. He has since been charged with felony Forgery and misdemeanor Theft. The Affidavit of Probable Cause states that the bill says “for motion picture use only” on it and he looked at both the front and back of the bill before passing it off as a real $100 dollar bill.
