A man was arrested in Maeser this week after making an alleged murder-suicide threat. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, dispatch received a call reporting that a man had stated that he was going to perform a murder suicide and that the man was enroute to the potential victim’s home. The caller also reported that the man did have a firearm in his vehicle and the caller did not believe that the potential victim was aware that the man was on his way to the residence. Officers responded and located the vehicle traveling in the reported direction and a stop was conducted in the area of 1600 North 3500 West. The man was ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint and was detained for further investigation. The man admitted that there was a loaded firearm inside the truck on the floor board. Officers interviewed the caller who confirmed that the man stated that he was going to the family member’s home to kill them and then himself. The vehicle was pulled over on the route to the potential victim’s home. 57-year-old Quentin Johnson was taken to the Uintah County Jail and was later booked on one count of Threats of Violence.
