Man Arrested For Domestic Violence And Aggravated Assault

An investigation into domestic violence ended in arrest in Duchesne County over the weekend. The Affidavit of Probable Cause shared reports and allegations going on since at least March. Last week, 35-year-old Selby Reinhardt allegedly body slammed the victim and pinned the victim against a wall in the front room before putting a pistol to his own head, then into his own mouth, then into the victim’s mouth. Also during this event, the victim tried to leave in her car but was grabbed out of the vehicle and made to go back inside where she was body slammed, choked out, and tased repeatedly. Officers noted the victim’s injuries, including bruising and marks consistent with a taser, bruising and scratching around the neck, a large goose egg and a wound on the head needing stitches, among other wounds. She eventually was able to run down the road and get away to seek help. 35-year-old Selby Burton Reinhardt was arrested and is charged with Aggravated Assault and two counts of Domestic Violence in the Presence of a Child, all 3rd Degree Felonies.
