A man was arrested last week after using his truck to ram an occupied vehicle in Uintah County. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers responded to a domestic detail on September 20th and found that there was damage to the driver side of the rammed vehicle and that the truck had a light bar out of place at the same height as the new damage to the victim’s vehicle. 29-year-old Kyler Jordan Cook allegedly went to his truck that was parked in a driveway in order to leave but the victim’s vehicle was parked in the way. The victim loaded herself and her child into the vehicle to move it when Kyler’s truck struck the driver side of the vehicle. He then allegedly backed up and hit the vehicle again, pushing the car until he saw the victim was calling 9-1-1. Then he got out of his truck and fled the area prior to law enforcement’s arrival. Kyler was located nearby and when asked by officers, stated that he did hit the victim’s vehicle with his truck as he was attempting to leave the area and that he knew that a child was in the vehicle as well. Kyler Cook was arrested on domestic violence offenses and is charged with 2 counts of 3rd Degree Felony Aggravated Assault, Property Damage, and Domestic Violence in the Presence of a Child.
