A man was arrested in Uintah County on Saturday after scaring others with a BB gun that looked like a Glock 9mm pistol. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers responded to a ‘brandishing a weapon’ call that originated in Naples in the area of 2450 South 1500 East. It was reported that the man was in a white SUV that had turned onto 500 South west bound before being pulled over. The victims had stated that while they were driving towards Colorado, a man in another vehicle pointed a pistol at them. They called 911 to report the incident. The man pointed it at the victims multiple times. The driver of the suspect vehicle told officers that there was, in fact, a BB gun in the center console of the car and that the passenger did pull the gun out while they were driving. The Glock 9mm looking BB gun was located and 37-year-old Timothy Williams was arrested. “The criminal history of Williams showed that he was convicted of a felony in March of 2025,” shares the Affidavit. “Due to the pistol resembling a Glock firearm, the victims stating he pointed it at them several times, Williams made a threat, accompanied by a show of immediate force or violence to do bodily injury to another, and the fact that he is a convicted felon, he was booked on 2 counts of Aggravated Assault because there were two victims and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon by a Restricted Person.”
