Lt. Governor Spencer Cox and his wife Abby made stops all over the Uintah Basin this week as part of their mission to visit every city and town in the state of Utah while on the campaign trail for Governor. After stopping in cities and towns throughout Duchesne County, they met with citizens in Roosevelt
on Wednesday for lunch
at High Country Pizza. They then traveled into Uintah County and spent some of the afternoon helping fill potholes in Naples City before meeting for dinner at the Stone Hollow Event Center in Vernal to visit with all those that cared to attend. In between the service project and dinner, Cox made time to be interviewed by Evans Family Media on NewsTalk
104.5 FM. Cox said that Vernal was the 18th stop on his campaign tour since his announcement on Monday. During the interview, he emphasized his belief that the Governor needs to look people in the eye and see where they are literally from. Cox also stated that he hopes to be the first rural Governor and as a rural Utahn he hopes to amplify rural Utah’s voice.
