If you still need to do your taxes but could use some help, VITA Free Tax Prep is available locally to assist for one more week. VITA stands for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance. It is an IRS-sponsored initiative that helps provide free, basic tax return preparation for both federal and state tax returns until mid April. VITA services are available by Appointment Only in Roosevelt at UBTech on Mondays and Wednesdays, in Duchesne at the Duchesne Branch Library on Thursdays, and in Vernal at the Uintah County Library on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
