Two local teens have been recognized for their artistic talents. Kaitlynn Beyer, a senior at Uintah High School, is a finalist in the 13th International Art Renewal Center Salon Competition. That competition received 3,750 entries from artists in 69 countries, shares the Uintah School District. Her work, “The Beauty of Innocence”, is competing for the Da Vinci Initiative Award for the Young Aspiring Artist in which winners will be announced later this month. In a separate competition, Rylie Dutson, a Junior at Uintah High School, placed 11th out of more than 300 students who entered artwork in the Utah Senate Visual Arts Competition. “Her pencil drawing of a neighbor rounding up cattle will hang at the state Capitol during the 2018 legislative session.” Dutson was recognized on February 5th on the floor of the Utah Senate Chamber along with 27 other finalists.
