The Special Olympics organization is like a year round family for those that are a part of it and the peak of the competition year just happened over the weekend. The 2023 Utah Summer Games brought out the fun and the competition from across the state and the energy was infectious at each event and among the coaches, athletes, and friends. Uintah Dinos Swim Team coach Wendy Harris was there supporting her team. They brought 16 athletes. Four participated in the Track and Field event and they had 12 swimmers. “This is something they look forward to every year!” shares Harris. “We practice all year for this and they get so excited.” The group had wonderful success and brought home a combined 32 medals! Well done to all involved!
