A local man with a history of assault is facing new charges. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Carson Craig Farley allegedly approached a 16-year-old at Constitution Park on November 19th, grabbed him by the throat and began strangling him until the victim could not breathe. Another person at the park separated Farley from the victim. The victim had marks on the neck, a split lip, and facial swelling. Officers were unable to locate Farley that night but he was placed under arrest on November 20th. Farley was ordered to be held without bail and is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Aggravated Child Abuse. This comes less than a year after he entered a Guilty Plea to 2nd Degree Felony Assault charges for an event that took place in December 2024. He also entered a No Contest Plea to charges of Aggravated Assault for a separate event that took place in March 2025. Those cases also involved juvenile victims.
