Today is a very special day in the world of literacy and local libraries and schools are making it a week-long celebration. March 2nd is the birthday of Theodor Geisel, best remembered as the beloved Dr. Seuss. Because of this, March 2nd is utilized as a day to celebrate the importance of reading endorsed by the National Education Association. On Monday, the Uintah County Library celebrated Dr. Seuss with games, treats, crafts, and costumes. If you haven’t had the chance to see the new library in person, the Roosevelt Branch of the Duchesne County Library System is having a Dr. Seuss Party on Saturday, March 4th from 2 to 4pm. You can guarantee that Librarian Stephen Moon will be in costume and reading Dr. Seuss books. Don’t miss the fun of dressing up if you like and enjoying treats and games.
