Local law enforcement agencies attended an annual meeting of Utah’s Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police this week. Governor Spencer Cox was present and emphasized his deep respect and gratitude for Utah’s law enforcement agencies. “You guys deal with the hardest things every day…I don’t because of you and I’m grateful for that,” shared Governor Cox. “You take so many of the problems off our plate. You make our lives better and easier every single day…I had to be here to be reminded that there is a lot more good in this world than bad,” continued Cox. “The last 4-5 days sure felt the other way around and I know it’s not and you remind me of that. Thank you. God bless you for putting on that uniform and that badge every single day and making our people proud. You’ve helped our people. You’ve given them hope in a dark world.” Roosevelt City shared Governor Cox’ message on Facebook and added their gratitude for law enforcement and all they do locally.
