Every year, local hospitals announce the first birth of the year as their New Year Baby. This week, both Ashley Regional and Uintah Basin shared their new Year Baby announcement. The New Year Baby for Uintah Basin Medical Center, baby Bennett Sean Vernon, arrived at 9:12am on January 2nd to Alexandria and Zack Vernon. The New Year Baby for Ashley Regional Medical Center arrived at 6:50pm on January 2nd to parents Robert and Kyla Osteen. Baby Logan was 21 inches long and weighed 7lbs 10oz. It was an exciting day for the family, friends, and hospital staff taking care of both New Year Babies! Each hospital provides a special New Year Baby basket with items donated by local businesses.
