There are several Halloween activities happening the next few days. On Friday there is a Harvest Party being held at the Uintah Basin Christian Academy parking lot starting at 6:30pm and going until 8pm. There will be trunk-or-treating, bounce houses, and hotdogs. In Roosevelt there is a Spooky Drive Thru Trick or Treat event happening at Stewart’s Marketplace from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Families stay in their car for this drive thru haunted alley. There is also the Trick or Treat Halloween Parade on Main Street. Preschool children start at 3pm and children 5 to 12 go from 3:30pm to 5pm. The Pierce Holiday Halloween Light Show is taking place at 4000 North 1000 West in Roosevelt at dark. On Saturday in Vernal will be the Halloween Mayor’s Walk at the Uintah Recreation Center from 3pm to 5pm. All events mentioned so far are free. Tickets are available for the Hotel Vernal Haunt – Spirits at the Maine with information at www.hotelvernalhaunt.com. In Roosevelt on Saturday is a Halloween 5K/Fun Run and Pet Costume Contest. The 5k is $25 to register and it is $15 for the Fun Run. It is $5 to enter the pet costume contest. Race sign in is at 11am, with the race beginning at 11:30am, the pet costume contest is from 1pm to 2pm.
