When it comes to fighting crime, having the right partner can make all the difference and a local duo is proving they are a cut above the rest after the Utah Peace Officers Association K-9 Trials. Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office shared this week about the success of Deputy Ryan Bastian and his K-9 partner Kia after they competed and won several of the competitions at the trials held this month on the Wasatch Front. “Deputy Bastian and K9 Kia have just completed their certification in K9 handling and Kia is an explosive detection dog certified in the State of Utah and with the ATF,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. Congratulations to Deputy Bastian and Kia on your success and thank you for all you do to protect this community!
