Local COVID-19 Transmission Index Update (8/5-8/11)

TriCounty Health Department provided the update to the COVID-19 Transmission Index on Thursday. As of August 5th, Duchesne County and Uintah County remain at the High Transmission Index Level and Daggett County remains at the Low Level. According to Thursday’s press release, Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 16 percent and there were 150 cases in the past 14 days, Duchesne County was 26 percent and there were 114 cases, and Daggett County was 0 percent with 1 case. Statewide total ICU utilization was 83 percent and the 7-day COVID-19 utilization was 31 percent. Locally there were 21 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations in the past seven days and 1 new COVID-19 related death.
