Water usage can resume as usual in the City of Rifle. On Monday morning it was announced that due to an electrical problem at the Water Treatment Facility, citizens of Rifle were asked to avoid outdoor watering and to limit all water use as much as possible. Crews began the work of evaluating the situation and citizens were not given a timeline for how long they would need to limit their water usage. Rifle City announced late Monday evening that the electrical issue was resolved but citizens were still asked to avoid outdoor watering and excessive water use.
