Newly elected Duchesne City Mayor Deborah Herron, who also serves as Duchesne County Economic Development Director, recently visited the Evans Family Media studios for an interview on issues facing the city and administrative goals moving forward. Mayor Herron shared that Duchesne City is currently working on a project to increase the capabilities of water and sewer and have applied for CIB funding in the form of a loan/grant combo. “There are many projects coming up that we will need to consider and seek funding for in order to make that infrastructure as robust as possible,” shares Herron. “We know the growth is going to the north of the city…so we are working really hard to make those systems as robust as possible so we can invite investors and developers to come in and bring that housing that we need.” Mayor Herron speaks in more detail on the goals of Duchesne City as well as the importance of the Uintah Basin being united as a whole.
