Interagency Drug Bust in Sweetwater County

An interagency effort led to multiple drug arrests last week in Rock Springs. A search warrant was conducted and undisclosed amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana were located. 39-year-old Lana Rae Vermillion was arrested for felony Delivery of Methamphetamine and Felony Child Endangerment with Methamphetamine, among other charges. A minor child was taken into protective custody. 45-year-old Phillip Vermillion was also arrested for Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana. During a separate operation, Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested 50-year-old William Kerbs for an active warrant and 36-year-old Holly Strand for Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, among other charges. Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell credits the cooperative effort of multiple agencies with the arrests.
