Youth in the community will have special hunting opportunities this fall but the Division of Wildlife Resources has issued the reminder to get signed up for a hunter education course now before it is too late. According to DWR Coordinator Kirk Smith, right now is the perfect time to get signed up and on course to participate in the special youth hunts that are about six weeks away. While most often applicable to youth, Smith’s invitation is also for adults who also need to complete the course. Anyone born after December 31st, 1965, is required to finish the hunter safety course before hunting in Utah. “Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have some fun and make some great memories,” shares Smith. “Sign up for a Hunter Education course today.” In the classroom and online courses are both available.
