Uintah County Search and Rescue have two adorable new recruits and let’s just say they have the nose for the job. Search and Rescue Commander Shad Shelley purchased the two purebred bloodhound puppies to be trained specifically for the Search and Rescue team. These dogs will be utilized in assisting Search and Rescue for human tracking and cadaver searches, shares the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office. The pair started training at 7 weeks old and they will be able to start tracking by the time they are 3 months old. Sheriff Vance Norton is excited to have two new recruits in Uintah County and thanked Shad Shelley for the hard work and commitment he puts into Search and Rescue and the community.
