Work is well underway on a much loved Halloween charity event and there is still plenty of time to get involved. Event organizers announced last week that the 4 local charities that will benefit from the Hotel Vernal Haunt this year are Project Alley, Friends Against Family Violence, Utah Foster Care, and KLiC. Of course, attending the Haunt supports these charities but you can also volunteer now and in the weeks leading up to the event and the hours you volunteer can be dedicated to one of the specific charities, giving them more money in the end. Volunteers are invited to help every Saturday morning from 9 to 11am. There is also the opportunity to donate items for the Haunt. This year, they are asking for donations of rusty old cars, other large junk that may be taking up space in your yard, and Carhartt style overalls of any style, color, or size.
