Hit, Run, Score For A Cause Reopens Registration, More Teams Welcomed

Playing softball never feels quite as good as when it is paired with a worthy cause. The Hit, Run, Score for a Cause tournament held each year in Vernal is the largest charity softball tournament in the state and it is in it’s 19th year. The registration deadline had passed but has been reopened and extended
until Sunday, June 23rd
, and teams are encouraged to sign up. As of Tuesday, the tournament had 47 teams signed up made up of 20 men’s teams, 16 coed, and 11 women’s teams. The tournament runs this year
June 28th through the 30th.
This year’s recipient is 37-year-old Cindy Hadlock who was recently diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer and will undergo 6 months of chemotherapy requiring many trips to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Visit
