Highway 40 Construction Update For Paving From Antelope Creek To Roosevelt

by | Aug 1, 2025 | News | 0 comments

Roosevelt City has provided an update on the Highway 40 paving project between Antelope Creek and Roosevelt. “Over the next couple of weeks, crews will continue intermittent daytime work, with nighttime paving scheduled to resume on Sunday, August 10th. Once paving is complete, additional work will continue through early September, including improvements to travel lanes, shoulders, and safety features such as upgraded guardrails.” During daytime travel, speed limits will remain reduced to below 45 mph throughout the project corridor, traffic will continue to be shifted using barrels, and drivers may experience delays of up to 10 minutes.
Starting on August 10th, nighttime paving will resume from Antelope Creek through Myton City in a moving 2-mile work zone. One-way alternating traffic will be in place during overnight operations and drivers should expect delays of 5 to 15 minutes, with the possibility of longer wait times. When outside of construction hours, all lanes will reopen. All are reminded to stay alert, follow posted signage, and drive safely through the work zone.

Work on this project is expected to be completed by early September.
