Highway 40 Construction Update

by | Oct 15, 2019 | News | 0 comments

Construction on Highway 40 in Roosevelt is wrapping up. UDOT shared on Monday that the paving is complete from the west end of Roosevelt, through town on Main Street, and eastward to Gusher. With the project near completion, crews will finish work on manholes, signs, grinding, and striping over the next two weeks. Meanwhile, the Strawberry Valley construction on Highway 40 continues. UDOT reports that paving operations are complete for the year and roadway striping is underway. Pilot car operations with traffic control will continue during striping, causing delays of up to 15 minutes. Crews will also be grading and smoothing the slopes along both shoulders of the roadway as well as placing topsoil, seeding, and spraying mulch through the area. It’s important travelers know to plan for delays and allow extra travel time. For the safety of all involved, please slow down and be careful in all construction zones.
