A group of graduating seniors took a walk down memory lane to Davis Elementary on Monday ready to dig up memories. The group of about 25 seniors attended Davis Elementary School during their 5th grade year and had buried a time capsule full of memorabilia. So what qualified as a treasure to a 5th grader seven years ago? Well, this group had buried a stack of notes, teachers yearbooks, pictures of the kids, a baseball and last but not least, an empty mountain dew can. “It was great to see how much we have changed and all of the friends we have made,” shares graduating senior Adara Riggs. “It went well and there were a lot of memories made.” Once the treasures had been distributed, the group wrote a batch of new notes for round two of the time capsule which will be dug up at their 10 year class reunion. The group wore their caps and gowns and were a blend of excited energy and sentiment. Good luck to all the graduating seniors of the Class of 2017 Basin wide!
