Handmade Blankets Donation Appreciated

There are many acts of service within the Uintah Basin communities and it’s worth sharing when community supports community. A great example of this happened recently when the Roosevelt 7th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints delivered a generous donation of hand-made blankets to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office. “These blankets will serve many important purposes in our community,” shares the announcement. “Deputies often encounter individuals in difficult and unexpected situations — from auto accident victims needing warmth and comfort in harsh weather, to children who may suddenly find themselves in uncertain circumstances, including when a parent is taken into custody. Having these blankets on hand allows our deputies to provide not only protection from the elements, but also a small measure of comfort during stressful moments. These simple acts of kindness become warm tokens of compassion that can make a meaningful difference.” Thanks were extended to all involved in this example of kindness and service.
