Upgrades and improvements to Buckskin Hills continues to be a priority in the local shooting community and an upcoming event will further that cause. Since its beginning, the annual Gun and Knife Show has been a fundraiser to benefit Buckskin Hills. The money earned has purchased 19 concrete benches that are about $1000 dollars each. It has also purchased two storage containers and special targets. The money from the upcoming Gun and Knife Show will be used for more storage containers, benches and possibly more targets. Event coordinator Bill Lewis says the event is a labor of love by many volunteers and that every penny is donated to Buckskin Hills. This year’s event will be held March 18th and 19th at the Western Park.
