Green River Flooding 10-Day Forecast Predicts Critical Levels By Thursday

A Flood Advisory remains in effect for the Green River in Uintah County near Jensen. As
of Saturday, May 20th, at 2:30pm, the stage was at 9.5 feet which the National Weather
Service announcement categorized as minor lowland flooding impacting agricultural
land, irrigation, and outbuildings near the river. The forecast stated that the river will
remain above bankfull with the 10-day forecast trending upward on Monday and
potentially reaching critical levels by Thursday afternoon. The Green River is considered
at flood stage at 10.8 feet. Dinosaur National Monument announced that the Deerlodge
Campground within the Monument was closed due to the flooding. All are asked to
consider the flooding and plan accordingly.
