Graffiti Not Welcome At Dinosaur National Monument; How To Help

Dinosaur National Monument welcomes all unless you have come to deface areas of the beautiful Monument, even in the name of love. On Friday, Dinosaur National Monument shared a public thank you to their Graffiti Removal volunteers who, in their words, love to break up relationships. The amazing volunteers just recently removed approximately 140 square feet of charcoal graffiti off of a Weber sandstone outcrop in the effort to keep the Monument graffiti free. So, as tempting as it may be, never write or etch the name or initials of you and your partner or really anything you may think of doing. “[And] if you see graffiti while visiting Dinosaur National Monument, do not attempt to remove it yourself,” shares the announcement. “Instead, take notes of the location, type, size, and take an image of the graffiti and share it with a Dinosaur National Monument employee. Your information helps us remove graffiti in a timely manner and prevents any graffiti build up in the area.” You can stay up to date with the graffiti removal volunteer opportunities by visiting volunteer.gov and following  the official Dinosaur National Monument Facebook and Instagram pages.
