It’s graduation season and one of the ceremonies held Thursday in Vernal celebrated an incredibly diverse set of graduates in a unique event. The Ashley Valley Education Center had more than 160 graduates of the Class of 2025 made up from multiple programs. “Ashley Valley Education Center’s 30 staff members served 1,365 students on campus and online, as well as through the Youth in Custody, Adult Education and Night School programs,” shares Uintah School District. “Ashley Valley High School graduated 138 students [Thursday night], with another 26 Adult Education students graduating as well.” Ashley Valley Education Center also serves many students who use the programs for some but not all their credits towards graduation. In fact, tonight at the Uintah High graduation at Coach Belcher Stadium, over half of the 450 graduates have taken one or more AVEC classes during their high school career.
