The makeover of the green T-Rex statue that greets travelers on Highway 40 in Vernal will soon get underway. Vernal City has shared the results of the paint design survey which received over 1,300 responses which were almost an even split. 623 responses voted for T-Rex to keep his current green color, 609 responses voted for T-Rex to be painted with the original colors, and 82 responses preferred another paint design altogether. “The refurbish project will begin in early October,” shares Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion. “Based on the results of the survey and input from the creator’s family, City Council voted to move forward with the original paint colors. T-Rex will be painted after the stucco work is complete.”
