A Go Fund Me account has been set up to help a young woman involved in a car accident last Thursday on Highway 40 in Vernal. According to the Go Fund Me site, 19-year-old Alexis Reay sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital. For now, she is unable to work and may need surgery. Her friends are asking locals to donate to help with her medical bills. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the crash took place at approximately 12:54 pm on March 8th when a Ford F-250 was traveling Westbound on Highway 40 in the area of 1500 South. 19-year-old Reay pulled out of the intersection to make a left-hand turn onto Highway 40 and was struck on the driver side by the Ford F-250. Reay was transported by ambulance to Ashley Regional Medical Center. The driver of the Ford was uninjured in the accident. Both were thankfully wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
