by | Oct 17, 2019 | News | 0 comments

TriCounty Health wants to help Uintah Basin residents reduce the risk of disease in their lives and are offering a number of programs aimed at doing just that. Among these offerings is cancer risk reduction counseling to help get you and your loved ones on the right track. Screenings should start at age 45 and be done yearly. When having a screening, TriCounty Health recommends that you have the health coaching as well. Health Educator Sue Keel explains that it’s important that people know their health numbers like blood pressure and BMI and to learn about a healthy diet. Diet is thought to be 30 to 40 percent responsible for all cancers, explains Keel. The risk reduction counseling goes into detail of how to eat better and how to set small attainable goals to be achieving victories along the journey to better health.
